Located on the historic Bulimba Barracks riverfront, Apollo Road Apartments transforms the footprint of former WWII warehouses into two-and three-storey buildings housing 69 luxury residences.
The development includes 10 one bedroom, 38 two-bedroom and 21 three bedroom apartments across two buildings that are carefully scaled to respect the surrounding neighbourhood.
The design draws on the site’s industrial legacy, with curved forms and brickwork referencing the former soap and candle factory dating back to the 1880s.
A communal courtyard inspired by the Queenslander verandah connects the buildings and encourages social living. Sky terraces, breezeways and lightwells maximise natural light and ventilation.
Central to the design ethos are residential amenities strategically positioned between the two apartment complexes, including a 13.0m lap pool, cabana lounge, dining zones, sauna and activities lawn, offering residents a blend of relaxation and recreation.
A landscape pedestrian laneway between the residences connects to the revitalised heritage fabrication shed and riverside pavilion, blending past and present to anchor a new, riverfront community
