Buchan’s Adrian Vocale joined Kaipara Property Group’s David Hopper for a Fireside Chat at the Malls & Stores of the Future Summit on Designing an adaptive reuse retail precinct at 260 Collins Street.
Together, they discussed how Collins Arcade has been redesigned to create a more intuitive and uniquely Melbourne experience that works for both customers and tenants – all within the constraints of an existing structure.
“It was a privilege to share the stage with David for a candid conversation on how design, developer ambition and constructability have aligned to reimagine Collins Arcade.” – Adrian Vocale
The discussion covered design intent, trade-offs, and the practical decisions around circulation, sightlines, dwell time, atmosphere, and how to create a ‘Melbourne feel’ that works for both customers and tenants.
Thank you to Malls & Stores of the Future for inviting us to share how design can transform the future of retail.
