A new era begins for Auckland’s Western Springs Bowl. The former speedway has been transformed into a multi-mode venue for major concerts, festivals and boutique sporting events.

Buchan’s design team has worked alongside Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and Auckland Stadiums to help shape the vision for the venue, from the options study through concept design, consenting, construction and completion.

Designed to operate in two modes, Western Springs Bowl functions as an outdoor concert and festival venue targeting events up to 30,000 people during summer, before converting into a broadcast-quality boutique sports stadium accommodating up to 5,000 spectators outside concert season.
