The bold and culturally immersive Armstrong Creek Town Centre Library and Community Hub concept design by Buchan for the City of Greater Geelong has been embraced by the local community and will commence construction late this year.
Buchan was appointed to the project after winning the design competition for burgeoning Armstrong Creek area’s first civic and social infrastructure project.
The design is the result of a collaboration between Buchan, City of Greater Geelong, Geelong Regional Library Corporation, Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation and community stakeholders. The expressive architectural design will realise an ultra-modern, tri-level, environmentally sensitive and technology rich branch library facility to be completed by early 2024.
The new $1billion development of Armstrong Creek Town Centre is being masterplanned by Wel.Co
