A sneak peek at the Buchan design concept behind the Australia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 in Osaka!

The Pavilion takes its design cue from the ubiquitous eucalyptus tree and its gumnut, with a striking, colourfully illuminated façade representing a gumnut bursting into flower.

The architecture and exhibition showcase Australia’s unique natural beauty and create a canvas for sharing Australia’s stories, innovation and creativity.

Buchan is proud to be Lead Designer for the Australia Pavilion and to work with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to bring Australia’s vision to life.

World Expo 2025 Osaka runs from Sunday 13 April to Monday 13 October 2025.
