Buchan has celebrated the official opening of the redesigned Collins Arcade today.

Our architecture and interior design teams are proud to have partnered with Kaipara Property Group to revitalise this expansive arcade, bringing together commercial, retail, hospitality, entertainment and coworking space in an unmistakably Melbourne way.

The redesign showcases the power of adaptive reuse to reshape our cities. We’ve drawn on the site’s rich history, carefully adapting and repurposing existing features to preserve what makes this landmark building special.

Buchan has a long history with the Arcade, originally designing the Australia on Collins building in the 1980’s, which links Collins and Little Collins Streets and forms part of Melbourne’s famous retail ‘ant-track’ – a network of laneways and streets that spans the CBD.

The new Collins Arcade was officially opened by City of Melbourne Lord Mayor Nick Reece.
