The redesign of Collins Arcade (formerly St Collins Lane) in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD is taking shape.

Buchan’s architecture and interior design teams are working alongside Kaipara Property Group to revitalise and reposition the expansive arcade with a contemporary, ‘Melbourne-centric’ mix of commercial and retail, including a coworking hub, entertainment, hospitality, and boutique retail.

The design draws on the site’s rich history, adapting and repurposing existing features to preserve the essence of the landmark building.

Buchan has a long history with the Arcade, originally designing the Australia on Collins building in the 1980’s, which links Collins and Little Collins Streets and forms part of Melbourne’s famous retail ‘ant-track’ – a network of laneways and streets that spans the CBD.
