Yamanto Central has received the Property Council of Australia Queensland, 2024 Retail Property of the Year Award for Excellence in Development.

Designed by Buchan for JMK Retail, Yamanto Central blends retail, art, and community spaces, inspired by the site’s history and a vision to create a destination for families and the local community.

Judges’ comments

Yamanto Central utilises a gently curved mall layout to great effect, providing extended sightlines from the central access point. The distribution of tenancies is well considered to encourage optimal pedestrian flow, with generous mall widths illuminated by natural daylight. A highlight is the external alfresco area with an active playground drawing customers to adjacent food and coffee tenants. The centre presents extremely well and its adaptability is evident in being able to meet future growth demands.
